Waterfall is a shelving system that draws inspiration from traditional Chinese display shelves, particularly the arrangement of objects within the compartments of a duobao ge (多寶格). Reinterpreted through contemporary materials and industrial geometry, the design combines the orderly structure of a display shelf with the flowing forms of water.

The curved platforms create a sense of movement within the framework, bringing together the rigidity of metal and the fluidity of natural forms. Designed for displaying and storing objects, Waterfall explores how traditional furniture typologies can be transformed through a different material language. 「流水架」Waterfall 的設計靈感來自傳統中式多寶格的陳列方式，將展示物件的層架結構轉化為當代家具。作品結合工業幾何與水流般的曲線，以金屬材料重新詮釋傳統家具的形式語言。

彎曲的層板在規律的框架中形成流動的視覺節奏，讓金屬的剛性與水的柔性產生對比。流水架既可作為書架，也能用於展示與收納，探索傳統家具形式如何透過不同的材料與製造方式重新組合。

Sheet Metal Bending

鐵板彎折

The flowing platforms are formed from steel sheets bent into large-radius curves. A wireframe structure provides support and defines the edges of each platform, creating a contrast between the continuous metal surfaces and the linear framework.

The combination of sheet metal bending and wireframe construction allows the shelf to maintain its open composition while supporting its functional use. A powder-coated finish protects the steel surfaces and completes the structure with a consistent appearance. 流水架以大半徑彎折的鐵板構成層板，模擬水流延展的形態。線框結構則提供支撐並界定層板邊緣，使連續的金屬曲面與簡潔的線條形成對比。

透過鐵板彎折與線框構造的結合，作品在維持開放視覺形式的同時，也兼顧展示與收納的功能。表面的粉體烤漆提供保護，並使整體呈現一致的表面質感。

The aluminum edition further explores the relationship between flowing forms and industrial materials. Using aluminum in its natural metallic finish, the design retains a raw, industrial character. Curved aluminum sheets are combined with a supporting wireframe to create a visually lightweight shelving structure.

The hand-brushed finish highlights the material's texture, reflections, and structural details, bringing greater definition to its curved surfaces. This edition continues Waterfall's exploration of traditional furniture forms through contemporary metal fabrication, revealing a different expression of the material. 鋁製版本進一步探索流動造形與工業材料之間的關係。作品改用原始色的鋁材，更直接地保留金屬材料原始、粗獷的質感，以彎曲的鋁板搭配支撐線框，構成視覺上輕盈的層架結構。鋁材本身的手工拉髮絲質感，使曲面、光線反射與結構細節更加鮮明。這個版本延續流水架對傳統家具形式的探索，並透過當代金屬加工技術呈現不同的材料表情。
